New photos from the film set showed how much the actors are getting into their characters:
Anybody familiar with Cage and Bale's work would expect nothing less. Rarely do they phone-in an acting job, no matter how small the part. They're going to go to whatever lengths necessary to resemble Madden and Davis.
Amazon MGM said Madden will cover the namesake's coaching career with the Raiders along with the process behind creating his eponymous video game series.
Madden spent 10 years on the sidelines in Oakland. He guided the franchise to a Super Bowl title in 1976, and the Raiders reached the conference championship six other occasions during his tenure.
Madden's most enduring contribution to the sport came long after his time as an NFL coach ended. John Madden Football debuted in 1988 and grew to become one of the biggest brands in sports gaming. Beyond lending his name to the project, Madden influenced the game itself, emphasizing realism and attention to detail.
Madden will help to shine a light on his second act after coaching.
