Rockies Respond to Viral Scottie Scheffler Meme, Troll Critics After Marlins Sweep

The Colorado Rockies are excited to finally be winning games at a faster rate than Scottie Scheffler is winning golf tournaments.

The Rockies sealed a series sweep over the Miami Marlins on Wednesday with a 3-2 win in Florida.

The victory marked the Rockies' third win since Monday, a span over which Scheffler won no tournaments.

That's an improvement over the MLB club and world No. 1 golfer's respective win rates when Scheffler lifted his second straight Memorial Tournament trophy on Sunday.

Scheffler had already won the CJ CUP Byron Nelson and PGA Championship earlier in May.

FanDuel pointed out Sunday that gave Scheffler an identical amount of victories since May 4 as the Rockies, who went 3-24 over the same stretch.

Hunter Goodman's go-ahead home run in the eighth inning helped seal the Rockies' third straight win over the Marlins, the day after the club snapped an MLB-record streak of 22 straight series losses.

Scheffler is currently preparing for the 2025 U.S. Open, which is set to begin at Oakmont Country Club on June 12.

The Rockies, which are scheduled to play 10 more games before the tournament concludes, will hope to continue outpacing Scheffler with at least two more wins by June 15.
