Madden 26 Unveils Gameplay Trailer After Saquon Barkley Cover Announcement

After Philadelphia Eagles star running back Saquon Barkley was revealed as the cover athlete for EA Sports' Madden NFL 26 earlier this week, fans got their first taste of the highly anticipated video game on Wednesday.

EA Sports dropped the first gameplay trailer for Madden NFL 26, showcasing the new features in the latest edition of the famed series.

Some of the new features highlighted for Madden NFL 26 include QB DNA, Coach DNA, Football Weather, Explosive NFL Gameplay and Defensive Control & Strategy. The game's official website provides details about each of them.

Dubbed "the realest Madden ever," the two-minute trailer for Madden NFL 26 showed off hyper-realistic graphics "built from real tendencies, real schemes, real weather, real traditions." A first-look photo was unveiled on Tuesday, featuring Barkley running against the Green Bay Packers in snowy conditions:

Madden NFL 26 will officially be released on Aug. 14. Players who pre-order the Deluxe Edition or the MVP Bundle, which also includes College Football 26, will be able to access the game three days early, starting on Aug. 11.

It was also announced that Madden NFL 26 and College Football 26 will be interconnected, as players who create a player in Road to Glory in the latter will be able to import that player into Madden to use in Superstar Mode.

Fans of both games will surely enjoy this year's releases. More details figure to be revealed before Madden NFL 26 gets released later this summer.
