Madden 26 Reveals 1st-Look Gameplay Photo, Announces Full Trailer Release Date
EA Sports revealed the first gameplay still shot for the upcoming Madden NFL 26 video game on Tuesday.
In a post on X, EA showcased an in-game photo of Madden 26 cover athlete and Philadelphia Eagles superstar running back Saquon Barkley running wild on the Green Bay Packers:
EA Sports also announced that the official reveal trailer for Madden 26 will be released Wednesday at 10:45 a.m. ET.
Barkley was revealed as the Madden 26 cover athlete Monday on the heels of a historic season:
In his first year with the Eagles, Barkley joined the exclusive 2,000-yard club by rushing for 2,005 yards and 13 touchdowns. He also finished third in NFL MVP voting, won NFL Offensive Player of the Year honors and helped the Eagles beat the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl.
Barkley is the second straight running back to be featured on the Madden cover, joining the Madden 25 cover athlete in Christian McCaffrey of the San Francisco 49ers.
Madden 26's official release date is Aug. 14, but those who pre-order the Deluxe Edition or MVP Bundle can play three days early, starting on Aug. 11.
The MVP Bundle allows gamers to purchase Madden NFL 26 and College Football 26 at the same time, which is important due to the interconnectivity of the two games this year.
While Madden 26 details remain sparse, a trailer for the MVP Bundle revealed that those who create a player in Road to Glory in College Football 26 can import their player into Madden 26 for use in Superstar Mode.
The Madden 26 picture in terms of gameplay, features and more figure to become much clearer when the official trailer hits YouTube.
