NHL Playoffs 2025 Betting Odds and Box Score Advice for Stanley Cup Bracket Final

Joe TanseyJun 3, 2025

The Edmonton Oilers and Florida Panthers will battle for the Stanley Cup for the second straight season.

Florida won last year's battle 4-3 in a series that featured a pair of three-game winning streaks.

Each team got stronger as the 2025 postseason advanced through the rounds, so we should be in store for an even closer Stanley Cup Final this time around.

Betting on any championship series can be tough because the game is played at a higher level, but we have a good idea of which players will at least shine based off 2025 postseason production and last year's title clash.

Expect Connor McDavid To Play Heavy Role In Every Game

2 of 4
Edmonton Oilers v Dallas Stars - Game Five

It is stating the obvious, but Connor McDavid will play a heavy role in every game of the Stanley Cup Final.

The Oilers superstar led last year's Stanley Cup Final with 11 points and 20 shots on goal.

McDavid comes into this year's championship series with the postseason lead in points (26) and shots on goal (59).

He is worth a bet at +225 to have the most shots on goal in the series and at +110 to have the most points in the series.

It's clear that McDavid is motivated to win the Cup one year after coming up just short, and no matter the result for Edmonton, he should be heavily involved, which makes him easy to bet on.

Look at Sam Bennett Props

3 of 4
NHL: MAY 26 Stanley Cup Playoffs Eastern Conference Final Hurricanes at Panthers

Sam Bennett is the NHL's leading scorer this postseason with 10 goals.

Bennett's emerged as an offensive force on a roster with a handful of impressive scorers, like Sam Reinhart and Matthew Tkachuk.

Bennett wasn't a force last year in the Stanley Cup Final, but he could be the player that lifts the Panthers to a victory or two this time around.

Bennett is only -160 at DraftKings to score two goals in the series. That feels like a must-bet price given his postseason output to date.

A +1100 bet to score the most goals in the series is a risk with McDavid and Leon Draisaitl on the other bench, but if he keeps up his current scoring rate, Bennett at least has a chance to cash that prop.

Conn Smythe Trophy Outlook

4 of 4
Edmonton Oilers v Dallas Stars

McDavid is the favorite and reigning winner of the Conn Smythe Trophy.

It'll be hard to unseat him from that role at any point of the series, and honestly, he's worth the bet to win the Most Valuable Player award at +110.

However, there are other options to consider with longer odds.

Draisaitl sits at +750, and while some of his goals could be created by McDavid on the power play, he does play on a different line than the superstar.

Draisaitl's line could be the difference-maker for the Oilers, and in turn, win him the Conn Smythe.

At +3000, Bennett is worth a look if Florida wins because of his goal-scoring run.

Brad Marchand is also a name to keep an eye on at +7500. The former Boston Bruins forward was brought over at the trade deadline to help Florida win a second Cup in a row and he could be the X-factor for the Panthers in the matchup.
