New WWE Megastar Has Arrived, One of the Biggest Booking Wins of 2025, More Raw Takes

Kevin BergeJun 3, 2025

Stephanie Vaquer made her official debut as a member of the WWE Raw roster on the June 2 edition of the show at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Okahoma.

It was also the go-home Raw for Money in the Bank, and La Primera earned the final spot in the women's ladder match by pinning Liv Morgan.

Elsewhere, El Grande Americano pulled off a shock upset, defeating CM Punk and AJ Styles with help from Seth Rollins' crew, to qualify for the men's MITB ladder match.

Roxanne Perez continued to make an impact on The Judgment Day, helping Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh defeat The War Raiders but creating further distrust with Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.

This was an important show for WWE that set the stage for a potentially great Money in the Bank premium live event.

The 2 Best Choices to Win MITB Ladder Matches

The line-up is set for the Money in the Bank ladder matches, and this year's field has some fascinating possibilities.

Rhea Ripley leads a group that also includes Alexa Bliss, Naomi, Roxanne Perez, Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer.

While Mami is always the favorite in these spots, the rest of the field needs it more. This could be a huge launching pad for the three women recently called up from NXT.

However, Naomi stands out most as a freshly turned heel in need of a big spotlight.

Winning Money in the Bank and eventually putting an end to Tiffany Stratton's WWE Women's Championship reign would make her a top star.

On the men's side, Seth Rollins is the obvious standout, competing with LA Knight, Solo Sikoa, Penta, Andrade and El Grande Americano.

While Knight is an interesting dark horse, it is hard to imagine The Visionary losing with so much momentum from his WrestleMania 41 heel turn.

Rollins has every opportunity in his current role to make a second cash-in as big as his first at WrestleMania 31.

Rewarding two veterans on potential career-best heel runs would make the most of the Money in the Bank concept in 2025.

Stephanie Vaquer Will Be Women's World Title Contender Soon

2 of 5

The arrival of Stephanie Vaquer on Raw is a major win for Raw. At a time when the division is lacking for high-end stars, she checks all the boxes.

La Primera is one of the best wrestlers on the roster already and has built a quick following from her time in NXT that will make her popular on the red brand.

By pushing her up the card so quickly, her NXT Women's Championship reign remains fresh and should be the catalyst for a quick rise in the women's roster.

WWE already teased fans with a preview of Vaquer vs. Iyo Sky, and it is only a matter of time before that is a Women's World Championship match.

Even with Liv Morgan teasing going after Sky soon, the pathway to a championship rivalry is clear. Vaquer just needs some time to ground herself on a stacked roster.

Roxanne Perez is Pushing The Judgment Day Back into Relevance

The Judgment Day has grown stale. Finn Bálor barely feels like a serious title contender, while JD McDonagh and Raquel Rodriguez have been mostly used as henchmen rather than becoming stars on their own.

Dominik Mysterio is growing in popularity, but it doesn't feel like he needs the group anymore. It is just a question of whether he and Liv Morgan both leave or he takes the stable in a new direction.

However, a wild card has changed this dynamic considerably. While first introduced by The Prince as a possible issue for Dirty Dom, Roxanne Perez has quickly become a bigger problem.

The Prodigy is thriving in a manipulative role, allowing her to push everyone's buttons. It is even unclear how much control Bálor himself has on what she does.

This chaotic factor has made Perez stand out quickly, and her decisions could swing this once-great stable back to relevance.

It's all a matter of how much she truly wants to contest Morgan and whether her goals are loftier than simply winning over Mysterio. She cannot just be the next girlfriend.

El Grande Americano Character is One of WWE's Biggest Wins of 2025

4 of 5

When El Grande Americano first arrived, the gimmick came off as a messy attempt to create heat from modern U.S. politics.

Over the following months, though, Chad Gable has made the most of his dual role, and it has gotten him more screen time than any other moment in his career.

The biggest moment yet was on Monday night when Americano defeated two former world champions in CM Punk and AJ Styles to qualify for Money in the Bank.

As long as the ultimate goal is to put over the genuine greatness of lucha libre and the luchadors of the future, there is no harm in Gable gaining heat by pushing these new stars against him.

It seems like the story is heading toward an unmasking around the time of SummerSlam, and that could well allow the Olympian a huge spotlight on that night, battling Penta.

By the end, Gable will have more than established himself as an entertainer who can compete at any level, and hopefully he can be rewarded with a championship under his actual wrestling name.

Fan Backlash Should Make WWE Reconsider R-Truth Release

WWE Saturday Night's Main Event

After playing a key role in WWE's top story on SmackDown, the wrestling world was shaken by the news R-Truth had been released from WWE.

It was a genuine shock as the 53-year-old had been an integral veteran on the product for years. His recent work with John Cena was also crucial to furthering The Last Real Champ's heel run.

While many releases are followed by strong fan backlash to the decision and support for the talent, this release had fans on Raw chanting "We want Truth!"

The veteran Superstar likely did not have many matches left, but he deserved a better sendoff than a release announced on social media.

At the very least, Truth deserved a proper farewell to the WWE Universe and a possible legends/ambassador role with the company going forward.

Fans will likely continue to chant in support of one of WWE's most creative and genuinely funny stars, and this should push the company to reconsider its move.

Professional wrestling is supposed to be driven by the crowd, and the fanbase as a whole is rallying behind Truth in this time.
