Travis Hunter Looks 'Natural' Playing CB at Jaguars OTAs, HC Liam Coen Says
Travis Hunter is still learning the ropes as he prepares for his first NFL season, but the star two-way player has all the makings of an NFL cornerback, his new head coach said.
Per the Jacksonville Florida Times-Union's Juston Lewis, Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Liam Coen said Hunter already fits the mold for his position on defense.
"You can definitely see how natural it is for him, still learning, still growing, still trying to learn the calls as much as possible," Coen said. "But when you see him just in the actual seven on and team setting, he doesn't look out of place by any means."

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Lewis noted that Hunter spent time during Jacksonville's third OTA and sixth OTA playing as a defensive back rather than working with the offense, setting up what appears to be a schedule in which Hunter plays on defense every three practices.
Before the draft, there were questions about whether Hunter would play on offense, defense or both, but he made it clear to teams that he had no plans of leaving his role as a two-way player.
He told Garrett Podell of CBS Sports in April that he'd rather quit football than be limited to just playing on one side of the ball.
"It's never playing football again," Hunter said. "Because I've been doing it my whole life, and I love being on the football field. I feel like I could dominate on each side of the ball, so I really enjoy doing it."
In his final season at Colorado, Hunter recorded 1,258 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns while adding 36 tackles, four interceptions, 11 passes defended and a forced fumble on defense.
His ability to thrive on offense and defense led to him being the No. 1 overall player on the final big board from Bleacher Report's Scouting Department. The Jaguars gave up a hefty haul to trade up and draft him at No. 2.
While Hunter's exact role on the Jaguars will become clearer as the offseason progresses, Coen has liked what he's seen from him on defense thus far.
