Odell Beckham Jr. Says He 'Never, Ever Wanted to Leave' Giants in 2019 Trade to Browns
New York Giants fans weren’t the only ones sad to see Odell Beckham Jr. go.
The former wide receiver said he "never, ever wanted to leave the New York Giants" after being drafted there in 2014.
"The reason you heard me talking about what was going on is because I was pissed," Beckham Jr. said. "This was an organization that I got drafted to, they believed in me, so if the Giants won a Super Bowl I would be happy but deep down inside, I wanted to be the one (to bring one)."

The three-time Pro Bowler was traded to the Cleveland Browns in 2019, less than seven months after signing a five-year, $90 million contract extension with the Giants.
Beckham Jr. spent three seasons in Cleveland before signing a one-year, $1.25 million deal with the Los Angeles Rams in 2021 after being released by the Browns.
He joked that ending up in Los Angeles and winning a Super Bowl balanced out his trade from the Giants.
After his Super Bowl win with the Rams, Beckham Jr. sat out the 2022 season before returning to the field with Baltimore in 2023 and playing for Miami last season.
The 32-year-old was limited to nine games last season due to a knee injury, finishing with nine receptions on 18 targets for 55 yards.
