Wimbledon 2015 Men's Final: TV Schedule, Start Time and Live Stream Info

Joe PantornoJul 10, 2015

The 2015 Wimbledon men's final is set for Sunday in what will prove to be another clash of the game's biggest players.

Novak Djokovic defeated Richard Gasquet in straight sets on Friday as he makes his way to his fourth-ever Wimbledon final and his third straight major final this year.

There he will meet a familiar foe in Roger Federer, who took down Andy Murray, the third-ranked player in the world, in straight sets. It is Federer's 10th trip to the Wimbledon finale, offering him a chance to win his eighth title and his first since 2012.

It can't get much better than a rivalry like Djokovic and Federer for the Wimbledon championship. It's No. 1 against No. 2 on one of the most historic stages in the tennis world.

In 40 matches against each other in their careers, it is a perfect split, with each player winning and losing 20 games.

This will be just the third time that they will meet at Wimbledon, with the prior encounters also coming in the late stages of the tournament.

Federer took their first match in four sets back in 2012 to earn a trip to the final. He went on to claim his seventh Wimbledon championship that year, defeating Murray in the tournament's climax.

Their next meeting came in last year's final with Djokovic coming out as the winner in five sets. It was his second title at Wimbledon.

Federer comes in with a bit more momentum than Djokovic, winning each of his last 11 matches dating back to the start of the Gerry Weber Open, where he defeated Andreas Seppi in two sets for the championship. His last loss came to Stan Wawrinka in the quarterfinals of the French Open.

Djokovic's last loss also came against Wawrinka in the final at Roland Garros. It was the last tournament he competed in before the beginning of Wimbledon.

Wimbledon was Federer's domain when he was in his prime, and he will be trying to show that he still can rule over the English circuit in an attempt to retake the top spot in the tennis world. Djokovic, on the other hand, will be out to further solidify the notion that he is the outright world No. 1.

It should be a memorable match between two of the best tennis players of this generation. Like their meeting in last year's final, expect this match to go five sets and test the wills of both these tennis stars.
