Naomi Wins Women's WWE Money in the Bank Ladder Match

Mike ChiariJun 7, 2025

Naomi won the women's Money in the Bank ladder match at the Money in the Bank premium live event on Saturday to earn a guaranteed Women's Championship match at a time and place of her choosing.

Naomi beat out five of the top Superstars the WWE women's division has to offer, as she scaled the ladder and grabbed the Money in the Bank briefcase before Stephanie Vaquer, Alexa Bliss, Rhea Ripley, Roxanne Perez and Giulia could do so.

Naomi’s moment came when Bliss and Ripley simultaneously took out Perez and Giulia with a Riptide and Sister Abigail, leaving the field wide open.

As the battle seemed to come down to Bliss and Ripley, the two jockeyed for position and began climbing the ladder—until Naomi stormed back into the picture. Out of nowhere, she launched both competitors off the ladder, seizing the perfect opportunity.

In disbelief as she climbed, Naomi paused halfway up, scanning the ring to see no one in pursuit. With the crowd roaring, she reached the top, unhooked the briefcase, and was crowned the 2025 Money in the Bank Champion.

In order to determine the entrants into the women's Money in the Bank ladder match, a series of Triple Threat qualifying matches were held on Raw and SmackDown in recent weeks.

Bliss beat Chelsea Green and Michin to qualify, Perez defeated Becky Lynch and Natalya, Ripley got the better of Kairi Sane and Zoey Stark, Giulia got past Charlotte Flair and Zelina Vega, Naomi outlasted Jade Cargill and Nia Jax, and Stephanie Vaquer prevailed over Liv Morgan and Ivy Nile.

The women's Money in the Bank ladder match was a good mix of veterans who have reached the top of the mountain multiple times and newcomers who were in search of a breakthrough performance.

Bliss is a five-time women's champion who won the Money in the Bank ladder match back in 2018, while Ripley is perhaps the most dominant women's wrestler in WWE over the past few years as a three-time women's champion and the winner of the 2023 women's Royal Rumble match.

Naomi is also a former two-time SmackDown women's champion, although she has yet to win singles gold since returning to WWE for her second stint last year.

Meanwhile, Perez and Giulia recently made the leap from NXT to the main roster, and they even had a spell as a tag team going up against Ripley and women's world champion Iyo Sky.

Known as The Prodigy, Perez was a two-time NXT women's champion and she was the runner-up in the 2025 women's Royal Rumble match, while Giulia held the NXT women's title once despite spending only about six months in NXT.

Even more recently, Vaquer was called up to the main roster as part of Raw after holding both the NXT Women's Championship and North American Women's Championship during her less-than-one-year stint in NXT.

Vaquer's first match as an official main roster Superstar was on Monday's episode of Raw when she beat Morgan and Nile to qualify for Money in the Bank.

Armed with a new attitude and a desire to get back to the top of the women's division, Naomi scored what was undoubtedly her biggest win since returning to WWE by securing the Money in the Bank contract.

As a heel, Naomi has become a highly aggressive and dangerous force on SmackDown, and both women's champions must have their head on a swivel now that she is in possession of the Money in the Bank briefcase.
