Thankfully, that surgery was a success, and now Ross starts the road to full recovery.

Ross is arguably the best and most legendary broadcaster in professional wrestling history, with a treasure trove of phenomenal calls over the years. He served as the voice of the infamous Attitude Era and still serves as a commentator at the age of 73, now with AEW since 2019.

Ross has been in professional wrestling for five decades after beginning his career in 1974 as a referee before moving to broadcasting in 1977.

He was notably in WWE from 1993 to 2013 (making the Hall of Fame in 2007) before leaving four four years. He then worked for WWE part-time from 2017-2019 before heading to AEW.

Ross has unfortunately encountered numerous health issues over the years. He was diagnosed with skin cancer per an October 2021 announcement but thankfully was declared cancer-free in December 2021.

In Februrary 2024, Ross revealed to fans that he had successful surgery for the removal of cancer from his hip.

Now he is encountering another health concern, but thankfully, he successfully cleared a major obstacle as he works his way back to full health.
