Shedeur Sanders Says 'Outside Noise' Was 'Put to End' After Browns Rookie Minicamp

Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders released the latest episode of his podcast Wednesday, the first edition after he completed rookie minicamp.

He spoke on a number of topics, including the "outside noise" being "put to end" (2:30 mark).

"I was finally able to get back on grass, bro," Sanders began when asked about what he was most proud of showing during rookie minicamp.

"And that's when all, you know, just all the outside noise, all everything, was just, you know, put to end. I was actually able to get out there and show what I'm able to do."

Sanders was also asked about what it's like to get his first rookie contract, which was reportedly worth $4.6 million over four years, per Nick Brinkerhoff of USA Today.

"To get my first rookie contract? It's lit!" Sanders exclaimed (30-second mark). "I just go to practice every day bro, it's no difference."

Sanders also discussed building a relationship with his new head coach, Kevin Stefanski (four-minute mark).

"It is fun, of course. Coach, he definitely gonna push you, he gonna make sure you're the best in all areas. And we know, just as a person, we, of course, give them that respect as well as like, you know, all the other rookies. So it's been real fun, it's been interesting being a Cleveland Brown, you know?"

Sanders was a potential first-round pick, but he slid all the way to 144th (fifth round). He has a real opportunity with Cleveland, though, as the Browns don't currently have a clear-cut answer for their Week 1 starter. Currently, the active QB room consists of Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel and Sanders with Deshaun Watson injured (ruptured Achilles).

So we'll see soon enough if Sanders can make waves in Cleveland, but he's clearly all smiles now in the early going.
