Charlie Woods, the son of 15-time major champion Tiger Woods, picked up his first American Junior Golf Association victory at the AJGA Team TaylorMade Invitational in Bowling Green, Florida.

Woods carded a six-under 66 in Wednesday's final round to claim the tournament win.

Woods, who turned 16 in February, was competing over 54 holes with a 72-player field aged 12 to 19.

After an inconsistent first round of the tournament led to a two-under 70, Woods put together a seven-under 65 to finish the second round just one shot behind Luke Colton's lead.

He followed that up with birdies on five of the first eight holes of Round 3, adding another three birdies on the back nine to win by two strokes.

Woods finished the tournament with a total of 25 birdies and one eagle over three rounds of competition.

Woods has previously competed in four AJGA tournaments, but never ranked higher than his T25 finish during March's 2025 Junior Invitational at Sage Valley in South Carolina.

In his fifth try, Woods beat out other top amateurs, including Colton, ranked No. 5 by AJPA, and No. 1-ranked Miles Russell for the win.

Russell, who was coming off three straight AJGA wins, finished seven strokes behind Woods.

Woods was listed at No. 606 on AJPA's rankings prior to the tournament, but will likely see that number climb after this week's win.

The victory comes after Woods came short of the U.S. Open by shooting seven strokes over the required score in his second attempt to qualify for the event earlier this month.

Tiger Woods started out his legendary golf career by winning the U.S. Junior Amateur three straight times between 1991 and 1993. Charlie Woods, who qualified for the event before missing the cut last year, could be looking to ride the momentum of his first AJPA win to a better result in 2025.
