5 Insane Nadal Facts 🤯

Federer To Add To His Grand Slam Collection

Walker DanielsSep 10, 2009

Let's face it: Roger Federer has cruised through the 2009 US Open so far. He stumbled on Wednesday night when he lost focus for a few minutes in the third set tiebreak and ended up needing another set to finish off No. 12 seed Robin Soderling.

Good to know he's still human.

Anybody who has been online betting throughout Federer's career knows that he has been one of the easiest bets to win over the last, say six years. Federer is now in his 22nd - I repeat - 22nd consecutive semifinal at a Grand Slam. If you're betting the guy in the matchups prior to the semifinals, he's money in the bank.

Realistically, though, the only guy to even beat him beyond that point in a Grand Slam has been Rafael Nadal. Good thing for Federer that Nadal isn't even healthy to give him a stiff test.

John McEnroe said just pick an Andy and you're good to go for the US Open but as it turns out, Mopy Murray and Andy Roddick are both who we thought they were: frauds.

I know everyone is busy with NFL betting and right now, nobody cares too much about tennis but the US Open is about to be handed to Federer on a silver platter. There really isn't anyone left that can give him a scare and now that Soderling sort of did, Federer will be extra focused the rest of the way.

It's insane how good this guy is and he's about to remind us once again.
