College Baseball Regional 2025 Bracket, Schedule, Live Stream and More

Sixty-four teams enter regional weekend of the NCAA baseball tournament with hopes of advancing to Omaha in two weeks for the College World Series.

The Vanderbilt Commodores are the No. 1 overall seed in the tournament, which begins on Friday afternoon at 16 regional sites.

Each of the 16 regional sites hosts four teams. The winner of each region moves on to the 16-team super regional round next weekend. The eight super regional winners move on to the College World Series.

Regional Weekend Preview

Vanderbilt is one of eight SEC hosts for regional weekend.

The Commodores edged out the Texas Longhorns and Arkansas Razorbacks for the top seed.

Texas, Arkansas and the Auburn Tigers are the other top-four seeds in the NCAA tournament.

All four of those teams are expected to advance to super regional weekend, but there will be some surprises along the way.

Perhaps the most intriguing regional is in Knoxville, where the No. 14 seed Tennessee Volunteers have to go through the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, Cincinnati Bearcats and Miami (Ohio) RedHawks.

Wake Forest ranks in the top 30 in team batting average at .308 and it is a top-15 home run team. Tennessee is third in the nation in home runs, but both the Vols and Demon Deacons have over 100 long balls in 2025.

Wake Forest and Miami (Ohio) each rank inside the top 20 in team OPS as well, so at minimum, we might see a ton of offensive fireworks out of Knoxville.

The Northeastern Huskies are a potential Cinderella team in Tallahassee. Northeastern owns the only staff ERA in Division 1 under three at 2.92.

The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers, who host one of the 16 regionals, have the second-best team ERA at 3.24.

Coastal Carolina is one of two regional hosts out of the Sun Belt along with the Southern Miss Golden Eagles.

Both teams have to get through power-conference teams to reach the next round. Southern Miss welcomes the Miami Hurricanes and Alabama Crimson Tide to Hattiesburg, while the Florida Gators are part of Coastal's four-team pod.

All 16 of the regional sites have double-elimination formats. Friday's winners play each other on Saturday, while Friday's losers at each site immediately go into elimination games.

A maximum of seven games will be played at each regional site, but a good amount of them will conclude after six. The winning team could need as few as three wins to get through to super regional weekend.
