Angel Reese posted her 29th career double-double in 38 WNBA games (13 points and 15 rebounds alongside three steals), but the winless Chicago Sky fell on the road to the Phoenix Mercury, 94-89.
Reese still made history in this one, becoming the fastest WNBA player to ever to amass 500 career points and 500 career rebounds.

However, this was a tough loss for the Sky, who led by 16 points (58-42) in the third quarter after Courtney Vandersloot's layup with 6:46 left in the frame.
Phoenix caught fire from there, though, scoring 25 points in the remainder of the third to cut the deficit to 71-67.
Phoenix kept control in the fourth by turning in a tremendous defensive performance, holding Chicago to just 10 points over the first eight minutes. The Sky offense finally broke through with some buckets late, but it wasn't enough to seriously threaten Phoenix's lead.
All five Sky starters scored in double digits led by Ariel Atkins' 21 points. Vandersloot added a 15-point, 11-assist double-double, while Kamilla Cardoso posted 16 points and nine rebounds.
Satou Sabally's 20 points and eight rebounds led the 4-1 Mercury. Kitija Laksa also starred for Phoenix, scoring a team-high 18 points off the bench. Phoenix outscored Chicago by 13 points with her on the floor. Alyssa Thomas added a 10-point, 15-assist night (alongside seven rebounds and three steals).
Chicago, which fell to 0-4, will look for its first win on Thursday at home against the 1-4 Dallas Wings.
