Jacy Jayne Stuns Stephanie Vaquer to Become New WWE NXT Women's Champion

Jacy Jayne became the new WWE NXT Women's champion on Tuesday evening after defeating Stephanie Vaquer for the title belt.

On Sunday, Vaquer withstood a tough challenge from Jordynne Grace at Battleground to keep the NXT Women's Championship.

After the match, there was some drama as Dalys la Caribeña and Chik Tormenta of Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide confronted Vaquer. However, Jayne then stepped in and slapped Vaquer, starting a backstage brawl.

Three days later, the two faced off for the championship. Vaquer had the upper hand, but with the referee distracted by Jazmyn Nyx's arguing, Fallon Henley hit the champ with a spinning kick around the post. That let Jayne finish the job with a rolling elbow, and that was good enough for the pin and the win.

This marks Jayne's first-ever singles title after four-and-a-half years on NXT. She previously won the tag team belt with Gigi Dolin twice.
