WWE Rumors on Chelsea Green's Status After Broken Nose Injury from Zelina Vega's 619
Despite suffering a broken nose and failing to regain the women's United States Championship on Saturday Night's Main Event, Chelsea Green reportedly isn't expected to miss any television time.
Per Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio (h/t Subhojeet Mukherjee of Ringside News), the expectation is Green will continue to be a fixture on television after suffering a "clean break" on a miscue during the match with Zelina Vega.
The injury occurred when Vega hit Green with a 619 late in the match. Green came up with a bloody face but was able to continue the bout. She was pinned clean after Vega hit a Code Red off the turnbuckle

In an in-character post along with a video on Instagram, Green wrote the referee told her that her nose was broken during the match:
"Me tonight !!! It’s absolutely INSANE!!! I was like “Whaaat just happened?!” The ref turns to me and I thought he said “You won” but he said “Your nose is broken” and I was like “WHAT” and he said “Your nose is broken” !!!! and I was like “WAIT—EXCUSE ME?!” I’m not even mad though. Well, I am mad, but it’s the kind of mad where you have to laugh because you KNOW you were robbed !!! And I was like… IS THIS REAL LIFE OR AM I ON A HIDDEN CAMERA SHOW ??? I literally turned to the ref and said 'You’re kidding me right?' but no, apparently not. He said 'You have to go to medical because your nose is broken' It’s okay though because BIIIG things are coming… and y’all know I’m never down for long !!!"
Green was attempting to regain the U.S. title after losing to Vega on the April 25 episode of Friday Night SmackDown. She held the belt for 132 days after winning the tournament in December to crown the inaugural champion.
Keeping Green on television despite the injury is good news for SmackDown. The leader of the Green Regime has been one of the most entertaining characters in WWE for several months.
Given how vain and obsessed with her appearance as the character is, Green should have fun with the idea of potentially having to wear a protective mask until her nose is healed.
