Shilo Sanders Kicks Off Tampa Food Tour in New Video Series After Joining Bucs

Joseph ZuckerMay 26, 2025

Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie Shilo Sanders sampled some of the local fare as part of a food tour of the city.

In the first episode posted Sunday, Sanders visited The Pearl for brunch. He ordered the chicken and waffles along with clam chowder, an Eggs Benedict and biscuit donuts.

That was quite the meal, but the appetites of pro athletes far surpass those of mere mortals.

It remains to be seen how long Sanders will get to enjoy his dining journey in Tampa.

The former Colorado star signed with the Bucs as an undrafted free agent, so he's working to earn a roster spot this offseason. Being a UDFA offers little in the way of job security, at least out of the gate.

2023 All-Pro Antoine Winfield Jr. is a lock to occupy one of the two starting safety spots. Christian Izien and 2024 third-round pick Tykee Smith are likely fighting for the other one, with Rashad Wisdom, Kaevon Merriweather and Marcus Banks sitting deeper in the depth chart.

Sanders began his college career at South Carolina in 2019 before transferring to Jackson State in 2021. He then followed his dad, Deion, and brother, Shedeur, to Colorado ahead of the 2023 season. In 21 games with the Buffs, he had 170 tackles and one interception.
