Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Surprises Wife With Car on Video After $500M Blue Jays Contract

Toronto Blue Jays star Vladimir Guerrero Jr. surprised his wife with a brand-new car shortly after signing a 14-year, $500 million contract — the largest deal in franchise history.

On his wife Nathalie’s birthday, Guerrero Jr. surprised her with a luxurious Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUV.

Nathalie took to social media to share her excitement and thankfulness, posting: 'Gracias mi amor por tan linda sorpresa... AMG + 600 roses' which translates to, 'Thank you my love for such a nice surprise.'

The massive extension blows past the Blue Jays’ previous record deal, held by George Springer, and solidifies Guerrero as the face of the franchise for the foreseeable future.

“This is a monumental moment in franchise history. Vlad has been part of our Blue Jays family since he was 16 years old and has captured the heart of our city and country,” Shapiro said in a statement. “There are very few in the game today that can say they have played for more than two decades with the same team, and we are immensely grateful Blue Jays fans will get to see Vlad finish his career where it all began. The name Vladimir Guerrero Jr. will forever be synonymous with the Toronto Blue Jays.”

Now in his seventh MLB season, Guerrero Jr. is hitting .276 with seven home runs, 23 RBIs and a .809 OPS.
