Browns' Shedeur Sanders Talks Relationship with Dillon Gabriel, 'We're Truly Cool'
The Cleveland Browns set up an interesting quarterback room when they selected both Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders.
The Browns already had Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett on the roster, and adding two more quarterbacks to the mix set up a four-way competition for the starting gig.
Despite a competitive atmosphere, Sanders said things between him and Gabriel have been great so far.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
"Everything's been cool," Sanders told SportsCasting's DJ Siddiqui recently (h/t NFL.com's Grant Gordon). "He's a cool person. I like how he handles situations, especially just the negative media that's coming his way. I'm just happy he's positive, he's able to handle everything. We're truly cool."
The Browns selected Gabriel in the third round of the draft, later taking Sanders in the fifth round. Gabriel, a Heisman finalist, had 3,857 passing yards, 37 total touchdowns and six interceptions in 2024. Sanders also had an impressive final collegiate campaign with 4,134 passing yards, 41 total touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
Over the next few months, Sanders, Gabriel, Pickett and Flacco will compete for the starting job in Cleveland. Flacco is the established veteran of the group, Pickett is looking to find his place in the league after a forgettable start to his career and the two rookies are just hoping to make a splash early.
While there is sure to be some tension during the quarterback competition, for now, Sanders and Gabriel will enjoy their first offseason together.
