WWE Rumors on Bronson Reed's Surprise Return from Injury to Join Rollins, Breakker

Bronson Reed's surprise return and alliance with Paul Heyman's new faction on Saturday Night's Main Event was apparently a late addition to the show.

Per Fightful Select (h/t Steve Carrier of Ringside News), the original plan for the group wasn't to add anymore members after Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker aligned with Heyman before deciding to bring Reed into the fold.

Rollins and Heyman first teamed up at WrestleMania when the Wise Man betrayed both CM Punk and Roman Reigns to help The Architect get a win over both of his rivals on the biggest show of the year.

Breakker was added to the mix on the Raw after WrestleMania when he attacked Punk and Reigns in the final segment of the show.

Reed, who had been out of action since Survivor Series when he suffered foot and ankle injuries in the Men's WarGames match, entered the fray on Saturday night in the opening match on the show with Rollins and Breakker taking on Punk and Sami Zayn in a tag-team bout. He took out Punk by knocking him through the barricade, then hugged Rollins after the Heyman duo won the match.

Even though it will take some storyline explaining to justify Reed and Rollins aligning given their history from last year, notably when Reed put him out of action for a few weeks after hitting him with six Tsunami splashes, this a smart move for WWE to elevate another promising talent to main-event status.

WWE was clearly high on Reed prior to the injury, giving him a one-on-one match with Rollins at Crown Jewel and a spot with the New Bloodline team at Survivor Series: WarGames.

This alliance with Rollins, Heyman and Breakker will allow Reed to return in a prominent position. He will now be able to potentially feud with CM Punk, Reigns, Zayn and many other top babyface stars going forward.
