The contest is the culmination of a week-long tournament that saw the conference's best and brightest vie for a spot in the finals.

The seventh-seeded Rebels earned their way with wins over Florida, Arkansas, and LSU while the fourth-seeded Commodores bested Oklahoma and Tennessee to cash their ticket to the title game.

SEC Title Game Prediction

The Vanderbilt Commodores have been among the best programs in the SEC for the last six years and a win Sunday would mark their third conference title in that span.

A dominant team, they rolled through the tournament, with a 6-1 victory over Oklahoma and a 10-0 dismantling of Tennessee. A team who does everything well, with an explosive offense and a solid rotation, they look the part of conference champions.

To achieve that recognition, though, they must halt the momentum of an Ole Miss squad that has overcome two of the top-three teams in the tournament to earn their spot in the championship game.

The Rebels entered the tournament as the No. 7 seed but have benefited from excellent pitching, which allowed just three runs in three games. The strength on the mound has allowed the team to secure wins while scoring just two and three runs, respectively, in two of their three games.

Both teams have championship-winning head coaches and bats that can catch fire, but could not be more different.

Vanderbilt has been the class of the conference for the better part of the last decade while Ole Miss has been one of the great surprises of this tournament.

While it would be nice to see the Rebels culminate their surge toward the title with a championship victory in Hoover Sunday, Vanderbilt's ability to pummel opponents with runs while shutting them down offensively should earn them another SEC title.
