Titans' Cam Ward Reportedly 'As Advertised,' Rookie QB is 'Hungry for Information'

Paul KasabianMay 23, 2025

Tennessee Titans rookie quarterback Cam Ward, the No. 1 overall pick in last April's draft, is receiving great reviews for his work thus far, per ESPN's Jeremy Fowler during an appearance on SportsCenter Friday.

“No. 1 overall pick has been as advertised inside Tennessee's building. They knew he was immensely talented, but I was told that they really even had to kick him out of the offensive coaches room at times and that's not hyperbole. They literally had to kick him out because coaches had other things to do at the time. He is hungry for information. So lately it's been him and Will Levis kind of splitting reps, that will probably be the case in OTAs. I expect that to change once Ward starts to take a hold of that job.”

That's a great sign for the Titans, who are looking to bounce back from a 3-14 season to start a new era under head coach Brian Callahan. Tennessee hoped Will Levis, the 2023 second-round pick, would be the answer at QB1. However, it has not worked out, to the point where Levis was benched last year for Mason Rudolph.

Now Ward is the team's franchise signal-caller as the Titans hope to become a perennial playoff contender as they recently did under head coach Mike Vrabel. Ward's passing all the tests early on in offseason workouts, a great sign as Tennessee hopes he is the answer for a brighter future ahead.
