WWE Money In The Bank 2026 to Be Held in New Orleans After WrestleMania 42 Moved
WWE has announced that the 2026 edition of Money in the Bank will take place in New Orleans on Aug. 29.
The event's scheduling comes after WrestleMania 42 was relocated, opening the door for New Orleans to host one of WWE’s marquee shows.
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson dropped a bombshell on WWE SmackDown, announcing that WrestleMania 42 was headed to New Orleans’ Smoothie King Center—marking the event’s first return to the city since 2018, when it rocked the Caesars Superdome.
Though WrestleMania has since been relocated, WWE wasted no time keeping New Orleans in the spotlight. On Friday, the company confirmed that Money in the Bank will make its return to the Big Easy in 2026, giving fans another premium live event to look forward to.
Before that, though, the 2025 Money in the Bank takes center stage on June 7 in Los Angeles, and the field is already taking shape.
On the women’s side, Alexa Bliss secured the first spot with a win over Chelsea Green and Michin in a Triple Threat Match. Roxanne Perez followed up with an impressive victory over Natalya and Becky Lynch, while Rhea Ripley powered through Kairi Sane and an injured Zoey Stark to punch her ticket.
As for the men, Solo Sikoa is the first to lock in his place after a hard-fought win over Jimmy Uso and Rey Fenix—thanks in part to interference from Jacob Fatu and JC Mateo.
According to Bleacher Report's Donald Wood, the final men's lineup could feature Sikoa alongside Logan Paul, Penta, LA Knight, Gunther, and Cody Rhodes. Bliss, Perez, and Ripley are expected to be joined by Giulia, Liv Morgan, and Charlotte Flair in what’s shaping up to be one of the most stacked Money in the Bank ladder matches in recent memory.
