SEC Baseball Tournament 2025 Thursday Schedule and Bracket Predictions

The six teams on the diamond at the 2025 SEC baseball tournament on Thursday carry all different types of motivation.

The 14th-seeded Texas A&M Aggies are playing for their NCAA tournament life against the Auburn Tigers.

The top-seeded Texas Longhorns are looking to solidify their spot atop college baseball heading into the NCAA tournament.

And then there's a fascinating matchup between the 12th-seeded Oklahoma Sooners and fourth-seeded Vanderbilt Commodores. Oklahoma will try to win its third game in three days in Hoover, Alabama.

Texas A&M's NCAA tournament hopes can get better with a victory over Auburn in the opener.

A&M smoked the Mississippi State Bulldogs on Wednesday thanks to a nine-run outburst.

The Aggies, who were the preseason national No. 1 team, need at least one or two more quality wins in Hoover, Alabama to jump from to the right side of the bubble.

Auburn comes into Hoover with wins in six of its last eight games. It scored over 10 runs in five of those victories.

Texas A&M must keep the Auburn bats at bay to have any chance of winning that contest. If not, A&M's season could be over.

Top seed Texas is looking to find a bit of form going into the NCAA tournament.

The Longhorns could be the No. 1 overall seed in the field of 64, but they enter Hoover with a 4-6 record in May, a run that started with three-game series loss to the Arkansas Razorbacks, the second-best team in the SEC.

Tennessee needs another win in Hoover to improve its standing in the field of 68. The Volunteers put up 15 runs on the Alabama Crimson Tide in their first game in Hoover on Wednesday.

Scoring will be difficult, though, for the Vols, since Texas has not allowed more than five runs in a victory since April 22.

The question surrounding Thursday's nightcap is whether or not Oklahoma has enough gas left in the tank after wins over the Kentucky Wildcats and Georgia Bulldogs.

The Sooners need to win a third game in three days to keep going in Hoover, but Vanderbilt's entire team is fresh thanks to the double bye it gained from the No. 4 seed.

Vanderbilt comes into Hoover on a five-game winning streak, and with Texas' up-and-down May, you could make a case that the Commodores are the team to beat in the top half of the SEC tournament bracket.
