Angel Reese addressed the allegations of hateful fan comments stemming from Saturday's game between the Chicago Sky and Indiana Fever.

The Sky forward told reporters on Tuesday there is "no place" for hateful comments of any kind and praised both her team and the WNBA for their support of her.

The WNBA, as well as both teams, issued statements on Sunday condemning the allegations of hateful fan comments made during the game.

Per Doug Feinberg of the Associated Press, the alleged comments were directed toward Reese.

It's unclear exactly when the alleged comments were said to have occurred. The Fever hosted the Sky in the season-opening game for both clubs.

There was an incident in the third quarter when Reese was fouled hard by Caitlin Clark, who attempted to prevent her from getting an easy basket following an offensive rebound.

After a brief skirmish on the court, the officials reviewed the play and assessed Clark with a flagrant-1 foul.

Clark addressed the situation on Monday by telling reporters there's no place for hateful speech of any kind in the world.

Saturday's game marked the 10th all-time meeting between Clark and Reese dating back to their college days. It was their fifth matchup in the WNBA since the start of last season.

Indiana defeated Chicago 93-58, with Clark recording her third career triple-double. Reese finished the game with 12 points and 17 rebounds in 25 minutes.

The Sky will play their home opener on Thursday against the reigning WNBA champion New York Liberty.
