SEC Baseball Tournament 2025 Tuesday Schedule and Bracket Predictions
The 2025 SEC baseball tournament kicks off on Tuesday with four games in Hoover, Alabama.
The last of those four games could be the most significant when it comes to the NCAA baseball tournament field.
The Texas A&M Aggies are on the outside looking in at the projected field of 64 at the moment, but a few wins in Hoover may potentially put them on the right side of the bubble.
SEC Tournament Bracket and Schedule
Texas A&M was the preseason No. 1 in college baseball, but now it is on the verge of missing the NCAA tournament.
The Aggies absolutely need a win on Tuesday night against the Mississippi State Bulldogs for their bleak NCAA tournament hopes to stay alive.
D1Baseball listed Texas A&M as one of four teams to watch on the outside of its projected bracket.
A&M comes into Hoover with a 1-5 record in its last six games, while Mississippi State is on a five-game winning streak.
An Aggies win seems unlikely, especially against a Mississippi State team that just put up 50 runs in a three-game series versus the Missouri Tigers.
Missouri, the No. 16 seed, shouldn't stand a chance against the Alabama Crimson Tide. Missouri's only three wins in the last month came in a weekend sweep of A&M.
The Kentucky Wildcats should be viewed as the favorite in the second game. They recently swept the Oklahoma Sooners. Oklahoma is 1-5 in its last six contests.
The matchup between the South Carolina Gamecocks and Florida Gators should be fairly straightforward as well.
Florida outscored South Carolina 39-8 in their series at the start of May. The Gamecocks only have two SEC wins in the last month.
A&M seems like the most likely upset winner just because of its bubble situation, but that might not even be enough to produce an upset on Day 1 in Hoover.
Predictions
Alabama over Missouri
Kentucky over Oklahoma
Florida over South Carolina
Mississippi State over Texas A&M
