KSI Says Conor McGregor Turned Down Boxing Fight, 'I'm Gonna Just Move On'

After withdrawing from his boxing match against Dillon Danis earlier this year due to an illness, KSI claims he had an even bigger fight lined up.

KSI told Misfits Boxing that UFC star Conor McGregor turned down a fight against him, though he's not exactly sure why.

"We had a fight set up, and Conor said no," KSI said at the 5:45 mark. "... It could be money, it could be his mindset, it could be a lot of reasons. Honestly, I don't think he knows what he's going to be doing the next day, he's all over the place. One minute he wants to be the prime minister of Ireland, the next he wants to do a random side quest. Who cares? It is what it is."

McGregor hasn't competed in combat sports since suffering a broken ankle in a loss to Dustin Poirier in July 2021. He was scheduled to return against Michael Chandler last June at UFC 303, but he withdrew from the bout due to a toe injury, and the fight was never rescheduled.

During his time away from competition, McGregor has taken up more of an interest in politics. He announced his intentions to run for president of Ireland this year during a visit to the White House in March.

For KSI, he's ready to turn his attention to other potential opponents for his return to the boxing ring.

"Let him do his thing, it is what it is, I'm gonna just move on and do me," he said.
