Scottie Scheffler Hailed as Best in the World by Nike After 2025 PGA Championship Win

After earning his third career major title with Sunday's PGA Championship win, Scottie Scheffler received high praise from Nike.

The company unveiled a new advertisement after Scheffler's win, exalting him as the best golfer in the world:

Scheffler posted an overall score of -11 as he earned a five-stroke win over Harris English, Bryson DeChambeau and Davis Riley. He had a slow start in Sunday's final round and was tied with Jon Rahm after the front nine, but he recorded three birdies on the back nine to pull away and finish the round at even-par 71.

It was just a year ago that Scheffler was arrested after a traffic incident that occurred as he was on his way to the 2024 PGA Championship. The charges were eventually dropped later in the month, but the harrowing experience was enough to lead to a finish tied for eighth in last year's tournament.

Scheffler didn't leave room for any adversity this time around. He entered the 2025 PGA Championship with a ton of momentum after tying the PGA Tour record with an overall score of 31-under 253 in his win at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson earlier this month. He now adds the Wanamaker Trophy to his already stellar resume, which includes a pair of Masters green jackets.

The Charles Schwab Challenge is next on the PGA Tour schedule and will begin on Thursday. Scheffler will get his next chance at a major title at the U.S. Open on June 12-15.
