Scottie Scheffler Wins 2025 PGA Championship as Fans Celebrate Star's 3rd Major Title
The 2025 PGA Championship wrapped up on Sunday, with Scottie Scheffler emerging victorious at Quail Hollow Club.
Scheffler earned the third major title of his career with the win.
Following a dominant Round 3 performance on Saturday in which he shot a 65, the No. 1 player in the World Golf Ranking avoided mistakes in the fourth round and remained atop the leaderboard.
Scheffler shot even par on Sunday and 11-under overall. He ran into some trouble early before getting comfortable on the back nine, carding three bogeys through his first nine holes before recording three birdies through his final nine.
Fans and fellow golfers were impressed with Scheffler's win.
Scheffler joined Seve Ballesteros as the only golfers throughout the past 100 years to win each of his first three majors by more than three strokes (h/t ESPN's Mark Schlabach).
Jon Rahm briefly tied with Scheffler in Round 4 on Sunday before faltering down the stretch, recording a bogey on hole No. 16 before closing with double bogeys on No. 17 as well as No. 18.
As for Scheffler, he now has his first major win of the 2025 season following a No. 4 finish at the Masters.
