Tetairoa McMillan Says Bryce Young 'Connection is Gonna Be Something Special'
Rookie wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan has high hopes for his partnership with quarterback Bryce Young.
"I'm just fortunate that he sat on the table for me," McMillan told ESPN's David Newton regarding Young lobbying the Panthers' brass to select the Arizona wideout with the No. 8 overall pick at this year's NFL draft. "That connection is gonna be something special."
McMillan now joins a receiver room that also includes Xavier Legette, Adam Thielen and fellow rookie Jimmy Horn Jr., among others.

McMillan will be the favorite to lead that room, especially in the red zone, where he can use his size, catching radius and fantastic hands to make plays on jump balls. There have been questions about his ability to create separation at the next level, which could be the difference between him being a solid player and a star. But there's no doubt that he has talent.
Young certainly needed more weapons. After a rough rookie season and disappointing start to the 2024 campaign (which even led to a temporary benching), Young came on strong in the second half of last season and started to resemble the player who the Panthers selected No. 1 overall in 2023. The hope is that adding more weapons, like McMillan, will further aid Young's development.
