Damian Priest Beats Drew McIntyre in a Steel Cage Match at WWE SNME 2025
Damian Priest defeated Drew McIntyre in a steel cage grudge match at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event.
In one of the most disrespectful moves of the year, Priest didn’t bother climbing the cage or pinning McIntyre. Instead, he calmly strolled to the door, leaving a motionless McIntyre with no chance of recovery.
It came after Priest delivered a brutal chair shot to Drew McIntyre—his head pinned against the another chair—Priest left him motionless on the canvas and walked out of the cage victorious.

The Rock's TKO Royalties, Reimbursements Revealed
McIntyre and Priest have been at odds since the start of the year, having interacted in some form or fashion at every WWE premium live event in 2025.
Priest eliminated McIntyre from the Royal Rumble and from Elimination Chamber, prompting McIntyre to hit Priest with a Claymore in the Chamber, which led to his elimination as well.
In the weeks that followed, McIntyre and Priest attacked each other on numerous occasions, setting the stage for a highly personal Sin City Street Fight at WrestleMania 41.
McIntyre won the match, gaining some revenge on Priest for successfully cashing in his Money in the Bank contract to win the World Heavyweight Championship from McIntyre at WrestleMania 40.
While that could have been the end of their rivalry, both McIntyre and Priest found themselves going after the United States Championship coming out of WrestleMania, and they were both part of a Fatal 4-Way that also included Jacob Fatu and LA Knight at Backlash.
Fatu won the match by pinning Knight after Priest and McIntyre were taken out of the equation due to Priest hitting McIntyre with a South of Heaven chokeslam through some tables.
With that spot, it was clear that McIntyre and Priest were still harboring ill will toward each other, which prevented them from moving on to other things.
As a result, McIntyre and Priest agreed to a steel cage match at Saturday Night's Main Event in an apparent attempt to settle the score once and for all.
By virtue of his victory at SNME, Priest canceled out the loss at WrestleMania, perhaps paving the way for him to progress toward world title contention.
