Caleb Plant Says He's Open to Jake Paul Fight 'If He Wants To Get In There And Rumble'

Add Caleb Plant to the list of challengers who are open to stepping in the ring with Jake Paul.

Speaking to TMZ Sports (starts at :55 mark), Plant said he would be open to boxing Paul if "he wants to get in there and rumble."

Plant is one of the few boxers who had kind things to say about Paul as he was making it known he would be happy to make the match. The 2011 Golden Gloves winner praised Paul for doing something he doesn't have to do.

"It takes a lot of hard work to do what we do and takes a lot of balls, too. Even though being in the position he was in to still get in there in front of everybody and risk losing or coming up short, you know that says a lot about a man's character," Plant said.

That's a far cry from WBC cruiserweight champion Badou Jack saying recently a bout with Paul is "an easy fight and it's a money fight."

Plant will be making his first defense of the WBA interim super middleweight title against Jose Armando Resendiz on May 31. A victory in that bout might put him on Paul's radar for a showdown later this year.

Paul is also getting ready for his own fight this summer. The former YouTube star will square off with Julio César Chávez Jr. in a 10-round bout on June 28. He will be looking to improve his record to 12-1 overall.
