Bueckers finished with 10 points, seven rebounds and two assists in 30 minutes. She led Wings' starters in minutes and had a few moments where she flashed the talent that got her drafted first overall.
While it was a solid debut for Bueckers, the Wings really missed an opportunity to start the season on a high note.
Dallas led 21-19 after the first quarter and entered the second half knotted at 46. A 35-20 advantage for Minnesota in the third quarter was what seperated the two teams and allowed the Lynx to grab a momentum-building win.
Napheesa Collier led all scorers with 34 points and added four rebounds and four assists. Courtney Williams also had a big day for the Lynx as she scored 25 points and added nine assists and four rebounds.
Arike Ogunbowale led the Wings with 16 points while DiJonai Carrington had 15 and Myisha Hines-Allen and Maddy Siegrist each had 11.
Bueckers and the Wings will look to build on this performance in their second game when they take on the Seattle Storm Monday night.
