Chargers Detail Viral Minecraft Schedule Release Video, Included 500+ Hours In-Game
The Los Angeles Chargers had one of the most creative and impressive schedule release videos on Wednesday, and it took a lot of work for it to come together.
The Chargers announced their schedule through Minecraft, showing unique scenes for each team with plenty of easter eggs hidden throughout. The video also trolled other teams along the way.
With recreations of stadiums and other outstanding details, one might think that the Chargers made their schedule outside of the actual game with the use of some kind of special effects, but the social media team detailed how they managed to put the video together within the Minecraft world.
The schedule video came together after 500-plus hours spent in the game. The Chargers' social media team also said it spawned 15,000 entities, used 22 mods and the maps spanned 48.750 million blocks.
While playing a video game doesn't seem like too hard of a job, it's clear that the Chargers' social media team put plenty of work in to create one of the most memorable schedule release videos.
Now that Los Angeles' social media team has proved its skills off the field, the Chargers will look to follow it up with a big year on the field. The Bolts managed to get back to the playoffs a year ago, but will be looking for more success in Year 2 of the Jim Harbaugh era.
