Stars vs. Jets Betting Odds, Player Props and Picks for May 15

The Winnipeg Jets are back in their comfort zone for Game 5 against the Dallas Stars. 

Winnipeg is 5-1 at the Canada Life Centre this postseason. It needs another win in Manitoba to keep its season alive and send the series back to Dallas.

The Jets’ top stars, led by Kyle Connor, should spend plenty of time in front of the Dallas net, which is a great game script for Jets shots on goal and Stars blocked shots props.

Kyle Connor Over 3.5 Shots on Goal (+126) 

Kyle Connor has to be the guy for Winnipeg in Game 5. 

The Jets’ top forward has put 38 shots on goal so far this postseason. Eleven of those attempts occurred across Games 3 and 4 versus the Stars. 

Connor has the highest SOG prop on the board for the Stars-Jets game, but that shouldn’t scare you away. 

He’s played over 20 minutes in three of four games in the series and went over this number in three of his last five games. 

Esa Lindell Over 2.5 Blocks (+105) 

Esa Lindell is tied with Toronto’s Simon Benoit for the most blocks by a single player this postseason. 

Lindell blocked 10 shots in the first two games of the series in Winnipeg. He had two blocks in each home game. 

Winnipeg is expected to come out firing on Jake Oettinger’s net, which gives Lindell and other Dallas defensemen plenty of opportunities to get their bodies in front of pucks. 

Winnipeg Money Line (-125) 

Winnipeg’s home playoff record is terrific. 

The Jets’ best performance of the series came in Game 2, when Connor Hellebuyck shut out the Stars. 

For whatever reason, Hellebuyck has been remarkably better at home than on the road this postseason. He allowed 13 goals in six home games and 24 goals in five road games. 

The Jets might not win the series, but they will at least keep it alive for one more game thanks to Hellebuyck at home and Connor and Co. in the offensive zone.
