As Zayn turned to confront Heyman, chaos erupted. Bronson Reed emerged from the crowd and blindsided Punk with a devastating tackle through the barricade, eliminating him from the match. Stunned, Zayn looked on in disbelief—only to turn around and get leveled by a thunderous spear from Breakker, who secured the win.
After the win—and with plenty of history between Reed and Rollins—it initially looked like Breakker was preparing to defend his teammate in an all-out showdown. But in a surprising twist, Rollins embraced Reed, drawing a roar from the crowd and sparking speculation that a new alliance may be forming in this evolving storyline.
Punk tried to get his revenge, but was overwhelmed and dismantled by Reed and the victorious tag team, who left him laid out as the crowd looked on in shock.
Rollins shocked the wrestling world at WrestleMania 41 when he aligned himself with Paul Heyman during the Triple Threat main event of Night 1 against Punk and Roman Reigns.
Heyman hit both Punk and Reigns with low blows, allowing Rollins to take advantage and win one of the biggest matches of his career.
Rollins and Heyman explained their alliance on the post-WrestleMania edition of Raw, prompting Punk to confront them. As Rollins attacked Punk, Reigns made the save, but Breakker shockingly took Reigns out with a spear through the barricade.
With Rollins and Breakker set to run rampant through WWE, Zayn addressed Rollins on the April 28 episode of Raw, suggesting that he was a hypocrite for aligning with Heyman after criticizing Reigns and Punk for doing the same.
Given their longtime friendship, Rollins offered Zayn the opportunity to leave Raw and go to SmackDown, but when Zayn refused, Rollins took it as a declaration that they had become enemies.
Breakker made Zayn pay by beating him in the main event of the show, and Rollins put an exclamation point on the win by hitting Zayn with a Curb Stomp.
Jey Uso was convinced to give Rollins a World Heavyweight Championship opportunity the following week on Raw, but things broke down when Breakker, Zayn and Punk all got involved, causing the match to get thrown out.
With Zayn and Punk costing Rollins a chance to become world champion, a star-studded tag team match was made official for Saturday Night's Main Event.
Rollins and Breakker prevailed in their first match as a team, perhaps signaling a prolonged reign of terror by them on Raw.
