Doric SamMay 15, 2025

Carolina Panthers rookie wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan earned a unique distinction ahead of the 2025 season.

Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, McMillan signed a deal with the Jordan Brand, making him the only member of this year's draft class to land a contract with the famed company.

The Panthers selected McMillan out of Arizona with the No. 8 pick in last month's draft. He joins a stacked Jordan Brand roster that includes fellow receivers Davante Adams, Puka Nacua and Deebo Samuel.

"To me, the Jumpman represents more than athletic excellence—it embodies a mindset that I am carrying with me to Carolina," McMillan said, per Pat Benson of Kicks on SI. "Jordan Brand stands for breaking barriers and never settling for anything less than greatness. That philosophy resonates deeply with how I approach the game. This partnership isn't just about what I can gain - it's about what we'll build together and the path we'll create for those coming after me."

McMillan produced back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons for Arizona in 2023 and 2024. He finished his junior season with 84 catches for 1,319 yards and eight touchdowns before declaring for the draft.

"Together, we'll demonstrate how the pursuit of greatness transcends any single arena while inspiring future generations to achieve their own definition of excellence," Jordan Brand said of McMillan in a statement, per Benson.

McMillan is expected to produce in a big way for a Panthers team on the rise after quarterback Bryce Young's strong finish to the 2024 season. The duo will spend the next few months working on their chemistry in preparation for the 2025 campaign.
