Panthers vs. Maple Leafs Betting Odds, Player Props and Picks for May 14

The Toronto Maple Leafs need a strong response at home in Wednesday’s Game 5 against the Florida Panthers. 

Florida battled back into the series with a pair of home wins. Now it’s on Toronto to hold serve at home in the battle of Atlantic Division teams. 

Goals were easy to come by in the first two games at Scotiabank Arena. That trend is expected to continue into Game 5.

William Nylander is coming off his most productive shooting performance of the series in Game 4. 

The Swedish winger put four shots on net in Game 4. Prior to that, he put two shots on goal in Games 1, 2 and 3. 

The series trend suggests the under is in play, but Nylander typically has had more activity later in playoff series. 

He had three or more SOGs in Games 4-7 against the Boston Bruins last postseason and he had 12 shots on goal across the final three games against the Ottawa Senators in the first round.

Matthew Knies Over 0.5 Points (-130)

Toronto’s top five forwards should be on the ice at a high rate in Game 5. 

Matthew Knies has the lowest odds of that quintet to record a point.

Knies has a pair of two-point games in the series. He has seven total points from the top line that also features Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner. 

Not only is he a top assist threat, but Knies has also put multiple shots on net in every game of the series. He’s a goal-scoring threat, especially if more attention goes to Matthews and Marner when the Leafs are in the offensive zone.

Three of the four games in the series have had at least six goals. 

While Game 4 only had two tallies, there were 60 shots on goal between the two sides. 

Toronto has scored three or more goals in four of its last five postseason games, and Leafs goalie Joseph Woll has allowed 13 goals in the series.
