Updated 2025 NHL Playoff Bracket, Schedule After Stars Beat Jets Take 3-1 Series Lead

Joe TanseyMay 13, 2025

The Dallas Stars once again defended home-ice advantage to extend their edge over the Winnipeg Jets to 3-1 in their Western Conference second-round series.

The Stars won both games at home in their current series and haven't dropped a game at home since Game 1 in the first round against the Colorado Avalanche.

Winnipeg now needs to win three games in a row to keep its season alive for another series.

Dallas just needs one victory in the next three contests to move on to the Western Conference Final.

Upcoming Schedule

Game 5: Florida at Toronto (Wednesday, 7 p.m. ET)

Game 5: Edmonton at Vegas (Wednesday, 9:30 p.m. ET)

Dallas 3, Winnipeg 1

1 of 1
Winnipeg Jets v Dallas Stars - Game Four

Mikael Granlund and Jake Oettinger powered the Stars to 3-1 Game 4 victory and a 3-1 series advantage.

Granlund opened the scoring on a power play in the first period.

Granlund benefited from a Mikko Rantanen assist in the second period to put Dallas back ahead by a 2-1 score.

The 33-year-old Finn completed his hat-trick in the third period with another power-play tally.

Oettinger stood strong in the Dallas net with 31 saves. He only let in one goal from Nikolai Ehlers in the second period.

Oettinger outdueled Connor Hellebuyck for the second straight game in Dallas. Hellebuyck allowed eight goals in two road games in Texas.

Winnipeg needs the dominant home version of Hellebuyck to show up in Game 5 to stay alive. Hellebuyck shutout the Stars in Game 2.
