Caitlin Clark Talks Meeting Taylor Swift At Chiefs Game, 'One of the Sweetest People'

Adam WellsMay 13, 2025

As one of the people who has shared a luxury suite with Taylor Swift at a Kansas City Chiefs game, Caitlin Clark has a unique perspective on the Grammy-winning megastar.

Speaking to ESPN's Alexa Philippou about her experience at Arrowhead Stadium, Clark called Swift "one of the sweetest people" she has ever met:

"I think what people don't always realize about people with a certain spotlight, whether it's her, whether it's me, whether it's another professional athlete or a pop star, we're real people. We're just having normal conversations as any other person in Arrowhead Stadium that night. She loves the Chiefs just as much as I do. I'm talking football with her. She loved it, and just like her passion, and honestly, probably one of the sweetest people I've ever been around. And everybody says that when you meet her, but it's really true. She just treats everybody with the same amount of kindness, and her family was great."

Clark saw Swift in concert on back-to-back nights when the Eras Tour played at Lucas Oil Stadium from Nov. 1-3.

The Indiana Fever star told Sean Gregory of TIME she met Swift's mother and boyfriend, Travis Kelce, during the shows. She also said that Swift gifted her four bags of Eras Tour merchandise and invited Clark to attend a Chiefs game.

That game turned out to be the Chiefs' playoff game against the Houston Texans on Jan. 18. It was a good one for Clark to watch, as Kansas City won 23-14 to reach the AFC Championship Game.

Clark explained on Travis and Jason Kelce's podcast before attending the game that she grew up a Chiefs fan.

Clark also told Gregory that Swift and Kelce are hoping to attend a Fever game at some point. They will have time to do so before Kelce has to report to training camp in July.

The Fever tip off their 2025 season on Saturday against the Chicago Sky. Clark, who won Rookie of the Year in her debut season, led Indiana to the playoffs for the first time since 2016.
