Eagles vs. Packers Set for Week 10 on MNF Ahead of 2025 NFL Schedule Release
Even though the full NFL schedule won't be released until Wednesday, the Philadelphia Eagles' primetime lineup for 2025 is coming into focus.
The NFL announced on Tuesday the defending Super Bowl champions will play the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field on Monday Night Football in Week 10.
This marks the fourth nationally-televised game that has been confirmed for the Eagles so far.
This is a rematch of the first playoff game Philadelphia had last season en route to winning the Super Bowl.
The Eagles defeated the Packers 22-10 in the wild-card round thanks to the defense forcing four turnovers, including three Jordan Love interceptions, and 119 rushing yards from Saquon Barkley.
Interestingly, all of the primetime games that have been announced for the Eagles thus far are against NFC teams.
Among the Eagles' list of AFC opponents, it's safe to assume their Super Bowl 59 rematch against the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium will be featured in primetime.
Philadelphia could be flirting with the NFL record for most night games in a single season. The current high mark is six set by the New York Jets last season when the league was hoping Aaron Rodgers would have them in playoff contention.
Even though things didn't work out for the Jets or the NFL last year, it would seem highly unlikely the Eagles aren't at least in the playoff mix in 2025. Even with some major losses in free agency, they still have arguably the best roster in the league on paper.
The Packers are hoping to take another step forward in 2025. Their 11 wins last season were their most since 2021, but they were a combined 0-5 against the top three teams in the NFC by record (Eagles, Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings).
Green Bay did use the draft to hopefully add more explosive playmaking to the offense. First-round pick Matthew Golden has potential game-changing speed after running a 4.29-second 40-yard dash at the combine.
There really hasn't been a receiver for the Packers that causes opposing teams matchup problems since Davante Adams was traded after the 2021 season.
By the time the Packers host the Eagles on Nov. 10, Golden may have established himself as the go-to target for Love in what figures to be a marquee game between two teams with Super Bowl aspirations in the NFC.
