
New York Jets, Terrell Owens to Be Featured in Amazon Prime Video Series, Documentary
San Francisco 49ers legend Terrell Owens and the New York Jets are each set to be the focus of new projects on Amazon Prime Video, per Deadline's Denise Petski
The yet-to-be-titled documentary film on Owens will chronicle his rise to NFL stardom as one of the most dominant wide receivers of his era, as well as his present-day life and legacy on and off the field.
“Traces the meteoric rise of one of the most talented, accomplished, and polarizing athletes of America’s most popular sport and examines his role as the preeminent “prima donna” wide receiver of his era, while catching up with Owens in present-day to see how he is evolving and discovering a new personal path forward,” per the logline, via Petski.

Owens was a third-round pick in the 1996 NFL Draft, selected by the San Francisco 49ers out of Chattanooga. Over 15 seasons in the NFL, he tallied 153 touchdowns, 15,934 receiving yards, six Pro Bowl selections and a place in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Meanwhile, The Home Team: NY Jets, is set to be a six-part documentary series following six Jets players and their partners. The series will feature couples including Quinnen and Maranda Williams, Alijah and Jessie Vera-Tucker, among others, offering a behind-the-scenes look at their lives on and off the field.
The six-part series will “provide an authentic peek into the emotional journey these players and their families go on over the course of a 17-week NFL season,” according to Amazon, via Petski.
