Caleb Williams, Bears vs. Hurts, Eagles to Play on Black Friday in 2025 NFL Schedule

Prepare for a Black Friday like no other.

Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears will head to Philly to take on Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles, extending the holiday football slate into the weekend with a marquee matchup under the lights.

The NFL first introduced Black Friday games in 2023, building on the long-standing tradition and popularity of Thanksgiving Day football.

In the inaugural matchup, the Miami Dolphins cruised past the New York Jets 34-13. A year later, the Kansas City Chiefs edged out the Las Vegas Raiders in a 19-17 thriller.

This year, the Philadelphia Eagles will host the Chicago Bears in a highly anticipated showdown, marking the first-ever head-to-head meeting between quarterbacks Jalen Hurts and rookie Caleb Williams. The two teams haven’t squared off since December 2022, when Hurts led the Eagles to a 25-20 victory.

While the Bears hold a 29-17-1 lead in the all-time series, the Eagles have dominated recent history, winning six straight matchups.

The Eagles will kick off their 2025 season with a high-stakes NFC East showdown against the Dallas Cowboys on Sept. 4. Later in the season, they'll take on the Washington Commanders in a Week 16 divisional clash.

Meanwhile, the Bears will face their biggest rivals, the Green Bay Packers, in their own Week 16 matchup—a game that could have major playoff implications as the season winds down.
