Shedeur Sanders Talks 2025 NFL Draft Slide to Browns, 'Just Gotta Roll With It'
Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders discussed his slide in the 2025 NFL draft.
"Everything is just an adjustment, you just gotta roll with it," Sanders said on his podcast, 2Legendary with Shedeur Sanders (2:00 mark). "It's like playing quarterback, so that's why my position prepared me for everything that's going on, everything that happened up until now."

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
"I don't take this and be like, 'Oh I'm gonna prove everybody wrong.' No, it's just me proving myself right," he added.
Sanders was projected to be selected with the No. 20 overall pick in the final mock draft from Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department, but he shockingly remained on the board until Day 3.
Eventually, the Browns traded up in the fifth round to acquire him with the No. 144 overall pick in the draft.
Sanders reportedly failed to make a strong impression on teams in pre-draft interviews, but it's still surprising that he fell as far as he did after coming off an impressive 2024 campaign at Colorado.
His 74.0 completion percentage, 4,134 passing yards and and 37 touchdowns through the air were all the highest marks in the Big 12. The 23-year-old was also picked off 10 times, finishing No. 8 in Heisman Trophy voting.
Now, Sanders will look to prove himself in training camp and compete for a Week 1 starting spot against Kenny Pickett, Joe Flacco and 2025 third-round pick Dillon Gabriel.
