Booking Seth Rollins, Paul Heyman's Trifecta of Terror Through WWE SummerSlam 2025
On Monday's WWE Raw, Paul Heyman revealed a better explanation for his actions at WrestleMania 41 and set forth a path for Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker as their stable continues to take shape.
After running down Roman Reigns and CM Punk, Heyman issued a challenge to world heavyweight champion Jey Uso on behalf of Rollins, making it clear that the heel group is targeting the red brand's top title.
While the well-planned idea to steal the world championship from Uso on Monday didn't work, it exposed WWE Creative's plan for Raw's top storyline. Before Rollins gets the belt from Uso, he and his friends must go through Sami Zayn, Punk and eventually Reigns.
Uso will not defend his championship at Backlash on Saturday, leaving the door open for a tag team match pitting Rollins and Breakker against Zayn and Punk.
With Zayn fighting for the honor of his friend, Uso, and Punk fighting for his own revenge on Heyman, the duo is likely to come up on the losing end.
In addition to issues between the challengers, Heyman should debut another stable member, with Trick Williams giving the heels the upper hand.
The NXT call-up would be a marquee addition to Raw and give Rollins the numbers advantage.
Heading into Money in the Bank, Punk should abandon ship on the storyline and shift his attention to the ladder match for the briefcase on June 7.
With Uso and Zayn left to fight three members of Heyman's stable, Reigns should make his return to WWE programming and even the odds.
With Saturday Night's Main Event being the only currently scheduled event for the main roster in July, Triple H could book a six-man tag team match that not only keeps the program entertaining but also sets the stage for Rollins' rematch against Uso at SummerSlam.
The 2025 version of SummerSlam will be a two-night event that needs marquee matches to make it worth watching. In addition to Rollins vs. Uso for the World Heavyweight Championship, Williams and Breakker should get the chance to square off against Zayn and Reigns.
Uso may be over with the WWE Universe, but Rollins should walk out of SummerSlam with the title around his waist.
