Rolly Romero Blasts 'Track Star' Devin Haney After Win vs. Ryan Garcia in Boxing Fight

After his upset win over Ryan Garcia on Friday, Rolly Romero doesn't appear to be too interested in a future fight against Devin Haney.

While speaking to TMZ, Romero had a few choice words for Haney, who defeated Jose Ramirez in a lackluster performance on Friday before Romero and Garcia's headlining bout in Times Square.

"Haney wasn't a big fight to begin with," Romero said. "He wasn't a big fight when he fought Ryan. And he's definitely not a big fight after he just became a track star."

Romero scored an early knockdown in the second round before cruising to a unanimous decision win over Garcia, who was fighting for the first time after his one-year suspension for testing positive for Ostarine following his win over Haney that was overturned to a no contest.

Haney was also fighting for the first time since his loss to Garcia in April 2024, and he looked hesitant to engage with Ramirez throughout their fight. While he earned a unanimous decision win, he was criticized by fans for being too tentative, which likely stemmed from being knocked down three times in his fight against Garcia.

After earning such a high-profile win, Romero told TMZ that he's eyeing a "big name" for his next fight. He reportedly indicated that he would be open to a rematch against Gervonta "Tank" Davis, whom he lost to by sixth-round TKO in May 2022.
