
Angel Reese Impresses WNBA Fans as Hailey Van Lith, Sky Beat Lynx in Preseason
Angel Reese posted nine points on 4-of-9 shooting and eight rebounds to help lead the Chicago Sky to a 74-69 win on Tuesday in a home preseason battle against the Minnesota Lynx.
As usual, Reese did work on the boards, grabbing one on the offensive glass and putting it back home for two in the first quarter.

Reese impressed with her spin move on Tuesday, notably pushing the ball down the court and finishing here in the second quarter for a 36-29 lead.
She also did more work in the third quarter on the pick-and-roll with Courtney Vandersloot.
Reese also fared well on defense against a Minnesota team that shot just 38.8 percent from the field and 4-of-16 from three.
Hailey Van Lith, the 11th overall pick in this year's draft, added five assists in 17 minutes off the bench.
She was incredibly clutch down the stretch. Her only points came at a great time thanks to a clutch three-pointer with 1:31 left for a 69-67 lead.
On Chicago's next possession, Van Lith then dished the ball to Ally Wilson for a three and a 72-67 edge.
Elsewhere in the box score, Vandersloot impressed on both ends as usual, amassing 11 points, five assists, four steals and three rebounds. She's returned to Chicago after two years with the New York Liberty and showcased why she'll be a force to be reckoned with in the Windy City as usual.
Second-year pro Kamilla Cardoso, the third overall pick in the 2024 WNBA draft, shined with 10 points on 5-of-7 shooting, seven rebounds and two blocks in 17 minutes in an impressive outing. Ariel Atkins scored 10 more.
For Minnesota, Alanna Smith led the way with 10 points and nine rebounds. Napheesa Collier had a rare off-night with eight points on 3-of-12 shooting in 20 minutes.
Ultimately, it was an impressive game for Chicago and Reese, who impressed with her efforts, particularly on the defensive end.
The Sky's final preseason game will be on Saturday at Minnesota, with tipoff scheduled for 8 p.m. ET. Chicago's regular season begins on Saturday, May 17
