MLB Celebrity Softball Game 2015: Rosters, Time and TV Schedule
Watching the Home Run Derby can leave any casual fan down on their own baseball skills, but that's what the MLB Celebrity Softball Game is for. Immediately after watching the world's best sluggers crack 450-foot bombs, one can catch some of the world's most famous people whiff on underhand pitches.
While it offers a distinct contrast to the Monday night spectacle that precedes it on ESPN, the Celebrity Softball Game has been a staple of the All-Star proceedings for years. It allows hometown heroes, former MLB greats, famous actors, musicians and others the opportunity to either shine or embarrass themselves in front of millions.

To say the field of players for Sunday's Celebrity Softball Game features a lot of Cincinnati would be putting it lightly.
From a handful of former MLB players with Cincinnati Reds ties, to sporting icons from the area, to stars of the silver screen and radio, there's no shortage of Ohio-bred talent. Highlighting a list of former Reds are Aaron Boone, Sean Casey, Eric Davis and more.
Want local star power from a different field? Andy Dalton has you covered, as the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback will also take part in the action.
He's even trading correspondence with ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit, another participant:
But while Dalton appears to be an obvious crowd favorite, he might not have anything on Urban Meyer. Months removed from bringing Ohio State the College Football Playoff title, the Buckeyes head coach will take part in Sunday's game as well.
Of course, the University of Cincinnati contingent in the crowd won't be too excited about that.

While there's an obvious athletic feel to the rosters with softball great Jennie Finch and many others included, it also offers entertainment from a neutral perspective. The furthest thing from a sports fan can still find some enjoyment in watching Snoop Dogg, Rob Riggle and Macklemore struggle around the basepaths.
All in all, the Celebrity Softball Game means more to the All-Star proceedings than initially meets the eye. It tends to produce a memorable—or at least humorously entertaining—game, and 2015 in Cincinnati should be no different.
